Barack Obama at a recent rural elementary school assembly in East Texas asked the audience for total quiet.  Then, in the silence, he started to slowly clap his hands once every few seconds, holding the audience in total silence.

Then he said into the microphone, "Children, every time I clap my hands together, a child in America dies from gun violence."

Then, little Richard Earl, with a proud East Texas drawl, pierced the quiet and said:  "Well, dumb ass stop clapping!"

This is our new friend Padre.  Our human's daughter is moving back home after living in another state for the last 2 years and bringing us a new playmate.  He is really sweet for a dog and lives with 3 other cats so he speaks our language!

This is what you do on a rainy day!

Thunder Rolled this morning as I lay there with my eyes closed and dreamed of catching those birds in the impending snow!  Oh, what a happy cat I am today!

I, on the other hand, am ticked off at being disturbed!  Leave me alone to my own dreams of chasing field mice!  I am sitting patiently in the snow covered bushes in my natural camouflage!  Snow is my time to shine so PLEASE let me dream!
